Here at SOF Review we want to help support other SOF businesses. Why? Well for one, we know SOF guys are pretty awesome and go all-out when it comes to the things we do. For another, we understand how difficult it can be to take the plunge and pursue your dream.
With that, below are two coffee favorites from De Espresso Liber (don’t worry, it opens in a new window so you can keep your spot here!). Click the picture to head to the actual product pages.
The Unquiet Professional’s: Cafe du Esqeux’Fué Memorial Blend
The first of De Espresso Liber’s ‘Gold Star Memorial Blends,’ Cafe du Esquex’Fué is roasted in honor of SSG Michael H. Simpson of Charlie Company, 4th Battalion, 1st Special Forces Group (Airborne). Mike was initially injured on his ATV during an IED attack on April 27th, 2013 in Arian, Afghanistan. He died days later on May 1, 2013 in Landstuhl, Germany with his family and friends by his side.
This blend is extremely unique as it was made with the direction and approval of Mike’s wife, Mrs. Krista Simpson, his team mates and friends and the bag design was also accomplished by working with his family to cut and use the images they wanted.
Rain City Spirits Special Forces Brew
Named after the distillery that launched this outstanding collaboration. It all began when Cory Duffy, the owner of Rain City Spirits, a US Army veteran and an active member of the GORUCK Community, contacted De Espresso Liber with the desire to contribute over 900lbs of premium, Costa Rican green coffee for a project that would make Special Forces’ Grandfather, the late JFK, proud.
Over 80% of the profits from this run will be directly donated to Special Forces soldiers and the money raised from this lot alone will result in well over $10,000 raised.
